Microsoft Bares Newest AI-assisted Design Tool for Creatives

Creatives have something to rejoice in. Microsoft finally rolled out Designer, its AI-assisted design tool that was first teased in October of 2022.

Designer is intended to help users quickly create social media graphics, digital invitations, posters, and presentations, thanks to the assistance of artificial intelligence.

That AI assist covers your design from start to finish starting with word prompts. An AI-text-to-image-generator capability can turn short descriptions into unique and editable designs.

Designer will also suggest smart layouts as you add new elements to the design to give it a solid and professional look. Of course, you can play around with more advanced tools.

The program can instantly eliminate photo backgrounds and put in place anything you want. There’s also an erase tool to remove unwanted objects and a fill tool to replace the empty spot with a generated image.

Once you’re satisfied with your creation, Designer can write hashtags and captions to ensure it gets traction when you share it on social media platforms.

To personalize your brand and style, Designer offers a Brand Kit that lets you consistently apply your fonts and colors across all your designs.

Designer is initially available for free as a preview as it further collects user feedback to make improvements. You need to log in to your Microsoft or Windows account to access it online via desktop but IOS and Android apps will be coming soon.
