IOMEDIA is looking for a UX leader passionate about building great experiences to join our team. The Director of User Experience will advance the overall quality of strategic thinking and design as applied to technology across the agency. They are responsible for establishing user experience direction for our clients, account teams and platforms while working closely with our strategy, content, technology and design teams whose mission is to innovate and lead. They are responsible for providing strategy direction, mentoring technical proficiency of User Centered Design, and evangelizing a positive user experience as an agency vision.

The ideal candidates have solid experience as an UX designer who has a foundation in information architecture, content strategy, and possesses proven design skills across multiple mediums (web, iPad, mobile. Additionally, a proven track record of staff management, team building, process design and implementation are a must. This well-versed digital change agent is nimble, agile and an abstract thinker.

Minimum Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in user experience/interaction design
• Be a master of InDesign and Creative Suite
• Demonstrate devotion to and evangelize user centered design
• Understand and demonstrate Agile UX development using low-fidelity prototypes
• Management and team building experience
• Think comfortably and nimbly in the abstract
• Feel comfortable in the ether of high-level business/brand requirements as well as the granular details of interaction behaviors and user flows
• Experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals as well as consumer/transactional /eCommerce

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the UX team and run-the-business aspects this division
• Collaborate with SLT on the user experience vision and strategy
• Communicate on a technical level with programmers
• Anticipate and makes significant changes to improve department processes
• Plan innovative evolution to UI design, information architecture, strategy, development processes and organizational capabilities/structure
• Ensure a positive, collaborative, high-performance work environment
• Planning and facilitating customer insight activities to understand user needs, goals and tasks
• Working closely with creative teams to ensure that the UX design is seamlessly brought to life
• Participating in business development activities & brainstorming sessions
